Our Team

Kelli Steele
Executive Director
Kelli joined the CVB in 2016 as the Executive Director. She has more than 20 years of experience in marketing, and now seven of those in destination marketing and management.
Kelli has both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Marshall University, and before working at the CVB, she worked with companies in the beauty and healthcare industries. She enjoys reading, hiking, baking, and (of course) travel! She lives in Putnam County with her husband and two children.

Angie Barthelmess
Office Manager / Community Liaison
Angie joined the CVB in 2015. She especially enjoys overseeing the office’s Area 34 Art Display, as well as working with the county’s merchants and residents. Don’t hesitate to contact her with your Putnam County questions or let her know about upcoming events.
After obtaining degrees from West Virginia University, Angie worked in Washington DC for several years. She and her husband returned to their home state of WV, specifically to Putnam County, to raise their family. These days, when she’s not trying new family recipes at home, Angie’s planning dinners with friends to check out the best of Putnam’s culinary scene.

Khloe Smith
Content Coordinator
As the Content Coordinator, Khloe creates engaging content that promotes local attractions, events, and activities, helping visitors discover the best of Putnam County. This includes managing social media, the events calendar, and visitor kiosks. She is also a student at Marshall University, majoring in General Business. She started in 2022 as an intern after graduating from Winfield High School and became an official member of the CVB team in 2023.
In her free time Khloe enjoys hiking local trails as well as capturing moments through photography.
