It’s spooky season in Putnam County! The fall season brings tons of fun, spooky, fall-themed events for folks of all ages! Gritt’s Fall Fun Farm

Sept. 17 – Oct. 30
Bring the whole family out to Gritt’s Farm for their famous, fall fun farm! Thursday and Fridays: 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Saturdays: 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., and Sundays: 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 🚜 Gritt’s Fun Farm features 20+ family fun attractions, including an Adventure Course and Puzzles, pumpkin patch, apple cannons, corn maze that celebrates the farm’s new goats, rides, sweet treats, and more! 🎃 🎟 Tickets are available online again this year, and pre-purchase is strongly suggested to guarantee admission. Fear on the Farm

September – November, Various Dates

Buffalo Octoberfest

Saturday, October 15
Visit the Buffalo Shopping Center for good, old-fashioned family fun, food, and music that everyone will love. The Buffalo Octoberfest features crafts, home-style food, apple butter making, a free petting zoo, antiques, flea market, free pony rides, games and inflatables! This event is sure to be a favorite for kids of all ages! The event takes place from 9a-5p, and all details can be found on their Facebook page!

 

Pumpkin Carving Contest

Sunday, October 23
Get a free pumpkin and carving kit to create your best jack-o-lantern at City Park in Hurricane! There will be several age groups and chances to win at this family-friendly fun event! Details at www.hurricanewv.com.

Trick or Treat in the Stacks

Thursday, October 27
Visit the Putnam County LIbrary’s Main Branch at 6:00 p.m. for spooky fun and trick-or-treating among the stacks of books.

Hurricane Main Street Trick-or-Treat

Saturday, October 29
Join the fun on Main Street in Hurricane for a safe and fun trick-or-treat event on Main Street! We’ll close down the street between A-Z storage and the fire department for a fun, safe, street-party type of experience!

 

Hurricane Citywide Trick or Treat

Monday, October 31
Put on your spooky costumes and gather sweet treats from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in neighborhoods across Hurricane.

 

Putnam Farmers Market

Every Saturday May-October
Fall harvest season at the Putnam Farmers Market! Every Saturday from May-October, find the market at 971 WV-34 just off the Teays Valley exit.
